Bucks SF to Undergo Season-Ending Knee Surgery

The 21-year-old sustained the injury on Wednesday, as his left knee buckled when he was driving towards the basket. He was in the middle of a breakout before the injury, with a career-high 20.2 points per game, along with 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

The team said his rehabilitation will take 12 months, with surgery coming. Middleton returned Wednesday and scored five points in 15 minutes. Parker is eligible for a rookie extension this summer, and he was seemingly a lock to receive it before today's news, but the injury surely gives the Bucks pause.

And the news that many feared for the former #2 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft is now real: he has another torn ACL.

Parker tore the ACL in the same knee just 25 games into his rookie season.

USA warns North Korea on nuclear response
The two sides reconfirmed that commitment on Friday. "We want to be on the same page with the new Trump administration". Donald Trump vowed to stop the North Koreans building a nuclear weapon capable of reaching the U.S. last month.

And here's a comparison between the two apparent ACL tears. For now, we can only wish Jabari Parker the best and wonder how he and the Bucks deserved such bad, familiar tragedy.

The latest injury occurred on the same day that the Bucks were welcoming back key guard Khris Middleton, who missed the first 50 games of the year after tearing his hamstring in training camp.

Parker averaged career-highs in points, rebounds, assists and three-point percentage (36.5%) and had almost averaged a double-double in the five games before Wednesday. Leading by 11 at the time of Parker's injury, Miami maintained a comfortable, double-digit lead the rest of the way.

There's a case to be made that at full strength Middleton will help the Bucks more this season than Parker did because of his superior defense and outside shooting. Michael Beasley and Mirza Teletovic will split the remaining power forward work, but neither are great adds in standard leagues.
