Holly Holm appeals controversial UFC 208 loss to Germaine de Randamie

Holm's camp is asking the New York Athletic Commission for a review of Referee Todd Anderson's failure to deduct a point or more from de Randamie after she threw punches after the bell in rounds two and three.

In case you missed it, this past Saturday night in Brooklyn, NY, a new division debuted at UFC 208, which resulted in the crowning of a brand new women's featherweight champion-Germaine de Randamie. "I talked to my doctor, and said I need time, a break before cutting weight again", she explained. Unfortunately due to the rigorous weight cuts involved with getting down to 140-pounds, Cyborg was unable to accept a fight with de Randamie or Holly Holm at UFC 208.

Justino (16-1) is enthused by positive indications that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency will veer from suspending her over a December positive test for a banned diuretic; the fighter says it was prescribed for fertility and other issues.

James Corden Is Ready for the Grammys
Organizers announced Wednesday that the program will include two performances in honor of the stars who died previous year . That year she was nominated for six Grammys and took home five, adding to the three she won as a part of Destiny's Child .

De Randamie has apologized for her actions during the fight and it was a "heat of the moment" response.

Fresquez said Holm is currently focused on an immediate rematch with de Randamie right now, and de Randamie recently posted on her Instagram account that she would like to fight her again. I mean, those were some of her best shots of the whole fight were after the bell. The two punches thrown at the end of the second round seemed to stagger Holm as she walked to her corner.

De Randamie has called for a rematch after an onslaught of criticism from fans and fighters in the combat community. While the new champion adamantly denies they were intentional, Holm and her team feel they were, and are now going through the formalities of appealing the decision. I haven't lost in a long time, and I don't think this fight makes sense. I have always trained to fight to the end or until the referee steps in. With Holm also pushing for a second outing and the future of Cris Cyborg still unclear, do not be surprised to see the UFC run this one back in the coming months.
