Add Actress Emmy Rossum to the growing number of celebrities whose homes have been struck by burglars.

According to TMZ, Rossum, 30, was in NY when the burglars made their way into her LA home.

The home was burglarized at some point between March 22 and March 24, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Mota said an estimated $150,000 in jewelry and other items were stolen, TMZ and E! "The commercial crimes division is now investigating the burglary".

Law enforcement sources reportedly told the publication: "Emmy was in NYC last week when the housekeeper showed up on Wednesday and everything was fine".

The New York Daily News reports the burglars got into her home by shattering a glass pane near the back door, and managed to get into the safes after finding written combinations for them.

Rossum later took to Twitter to comment on the scary incident. "I fully support the police efforts and dedication".
