Lance Stephenson Trolling The Toronto Raptors Into Anger Is Greatness

The Lance Stephenson era in IN is back, as the man himself announced last week, and he didn't disappoint Tuesday night in his return.

It hasn't been long - five days to be exact - when one wondered whether Lance Stephenson could salvage his National Basketball Association career.

The Pacers' Lance Stephenson scored a meaningless, and completely unnecessary bucket with 3.3 ticks left when he should have dribbled it out, triggering a mini-melee when P.J. Tucker and DeMar DeRozan got into Stephenson's face.

The Pacers won the contest 108-90. The Raptors hold the No. 3 spot. Tonight's events would be worth remembering if so.

Not having the proper disposition to begin the second half, no Raptor stepping up to help DeRozan offensively, no resistance, it all added up to Indy's furious comeback, the 19-point bounce back tying the largest comeback by a Raptors opponent this season.

He also has an inimitable way of creating drama as he had a scrap with Toronto's DeMarre Carroll with 3.3 left when the Toronto forward took offense to a layup Stephenson converted with the game out of reach.

There was a confrontation on the floor and Lance eventually told reporters "I didn't mean no harm".

The Jazz controlled the game most of the night with a defensive effort that bottled up everyone not named C.J. McCollum, and the Blazers never found a consistent offensive flow.

PHILADELPHIA - Brook Lopez and Jeremy Lin each scored 16 points to lead Brooklyn to a rare rout. He scored 14 of the Pacers' last 19 points in the quarter, giving in a 77-75 lead.

Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points, and the New York Knicks snapped the Bulls' four-game win streak with a 100-91 victory on Tuesday night. Stephenson had 12 points and was 5 of 10 from the field, but all of his production came in the final, decisive period.

What Stephenson did here in just his second game back with in is not acceptable.

With the game well in hand, the Pacers looked to end the game with possession of the ball until Paul George made a pass to Lance, who was in a position to attack the basket.

15 points and 11 rebounds as he continues to play better as his wrist heals. Paul George had 43 points, nine assists, and nine rebounds for IN in the loss. The Pacers shot 34.9 percent (15 of 43) in the first half. "Once he got going and his shots went in, they all got going". A 9-0 Pacers run early in the quarter sealed the victory, but the Pacers stayed in attack mode.

Westbrook clinched his seventh straight triple-double on an assist to Taj Gibson with 9:17 left in the third quarter.

The Pacers next host Milwaukee on Thursday.

The two teams do not meet again in the regular season, but there is a chance they could meet in the playoffs if the Pacers can move up in the standings.
