Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisted his side can cope with the loss of injured forward Sadio Mane, who will miss the rest of the Premier League season.

'I feel confidence in this moment because I know about football and I know what is possible.

"Everybody saw it. It was not flawless and I made the decision". I felt he was lucky that not more happened but we are close enough to the end of the season that it will be pretty much impossible to play again this season.

Jürgen Klopp faced up to the prospect of Philippe Coutinho joining a growing list of absentees by telling his depleted squad to "forget they have to play like Liverpool". "We just have to get as many points as we can", he added. "We need to collect a few more points".

"We want to qualify for the Champions League", said Klopp, whose side have dropped 15 points from winning positions this season.

Liverpool will have Joel Matip available, with the central defender able to appear as a substitute against Bournemouth after recovering from a back injury.

"They're maybe one of these two or three teams who don't fight for the one thing [European football] or fight against the other thing [relegation] so that's a comfortable situation".

The club's run-in is made all the more harder with top goalscorer Sadio Mané out for the season and Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson yet to return from respective thigh and foot injuries.

"We've gone through fixtures against Manchester City, Chelsea, Leicester City who are in resurgent form and Burnley away which is always hard because their home record is strong, and it's allowed us to drop a couple of positions in the league".

Defender Marc Muniesa said: "We need to stop that losing run". We have to think about it.
