HTC U Ocean Images Leaked

If you're interested in a new HTC flagship but were underwhelmed by the U Ultra, perhaps the HTC U will be up your alley. Now, leakster Evan Blass, has shared what seems like the first renders of the HTC U. Storage wise the HTC smartphone will come with two storage variants - 64GB and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded to external microSD card. "Rumours suggest that the upcoming phone codenamed "Ocean" get might launched under its" U" series - and that it could simply be called the "HTC U".

The HTC U will be best known for its touch sensitive frame which will gives users an additional means to control actions on the device. Twitter user LlabTooFeR posted a few details regarding the upcoming flagship smartphone. Called "Edge Sense", the frame-embedded sensors will allow users to perform various functions with simple gestures like squeezing or swiping along its left and right sides. It will also have a 5.5-inch WQHD display with a 3D Gorilla Glass 5 Protection and will be powered by the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Apart from that, the smartphone is also expected to ship with Android Nougat-based Sense 9 out-of-the-box.

Industry insider LlabTooFeR took to twitter earlier today to state that HTC's upcoming U Ultra series flagship, now known only as the HTC Ocean, will feature IP57 protection from dust and water, and will lack the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
